It enables cities to integrate climate considerations into decision-making across all departments while aligning with available financial resources. Many cities have already adopted the governance model of climate budgeting, by putting climate at the top of the political agenda, ensuring that all the relevant emitting city sectors, contribute to delivering on targets.
