The Transition Team support Programme is here to support Mission Cities in operationalising their Transition Teams (TTs) - unlocking the capacity, authority, and know-how to put Climate City Contracts (CCCs) into action. From interdepartmental collaboration to political mandate, skills, and prototyping, this programme offers a suite of learning and exchange formats tailored to the challenges cities face in driving the climate transition. The third session "Power to act: Strengthening the mandate" unpacked why Transition Teams often struggle with mandate and how to strengthen it. Participants explored practical strategies to build authority, legitimacy, and influence through tools, frameworks, and real-life examples.
