Within the NetZeroCities project, different cities have varying levels of engagement and support available to them.
Mission Cities: 112 cities selected by the European Commission to receive tailored support
Pilot City Programme: funding program for Mission Cities
Enabling City Transformation: funding program for Mission Cities for testing
Twin Cities: European cities that take part to the Twinning program
Mission-minded cities: cities of the European Union (and Horizon affiliated countries) that align with the Mission "climate neutral and smart cities" but are not selected among the 112 Mission Cities. The NetZeroCities project and platform offer several services and learning events for ambitious cities, willing to reach climate neutrality sooner than the compulsory target of 2050.
