To achieve climate neutrality, Mannheim is addressing a major bottleneck: the absence of strategic funding and capacity-building systems for climate investments. The COLL€CT project establishes a comprehensive framework for improving the city's ability to secure and manage funding sustainably. It not only addresses urban governance and capacity building in relation to funding, but also systematically identifies existing gaps and assesses innovative financing mechanisms to approach them. By leveraging the knowledge and insights generated by the project, it contributes to EU peer learning while also supporting stakeholders across urban society in their efforts to achieve climate neutrality.
