Riga Energy Efficiency and Smart Building Control
This resource presents Riga’s approach to improving energy efficiency through smart building controls, CO₂ monitoring and real-time HVAC management. It highlights Latvia’s country-wide CO₂ monitoring portal for schools and social housing, Riga’s deployment of the MESH smart control system across around 300 buildings, reported average energy savings of 10–30%, and next steps towards integrated energy control, linked electricity and heating data, and financial incentives based on verified savings.
