When: 4 december  2025 | 13:15 - 15:00 CET

Duration: 1 hr 45 min

    • Identify common policy and regulatory barriers impeding urban climate transitions and understand how experimental policy settings help address complex, systemic challenges.

    • Analyze practical city examples demonstrating successful application of these policy settings, including stakeholder engagement, governance arrangements, and outcomes.

    • Develop initial plans to apply or advocate for such innovative policy settings within their own cities, considering enabling conditions and stakeholder involvement.

    • Distinguish when traditional policy approaches suffice and when experimental settings are most valuable.

Who is this session for? City technical and political representatives from non-mission cities, municipal policy advisors, urban planners, sustainability officers, and stakeholders interested in accelerating climate transitions through innovative policy instruments.
